We all know the adage “Don’t judge a book by its cover.” That’s a pretty good nugget of popular wisdom. But there’s most definitely an occasion for when one must absolutely judge a book by its cover. A time when being judgy as fuck is required. And that occasion is when one is actually compiling a list of the best book-cover designs of the past 12 months, i.e., last year, 2021. A lot of sites have put together such lists with heaps of examples. One such list is by Print magazine. Their list of the Top 50 best book covers lives up to its title.
