BUILT FOR SPEED : JAPAN’S NEW “BULLET TRAIN” DESIGN REVEALED!

Japan Railways (JR) recently unveiled the design for its newest shinkansen, a.k.a., “Bullet Train.” It’s called the “Kamome,” which translates as “Seagull.” The shinkansen is an iconic and groundbreaking high-speed transportation technology introduced in Japanese over 50 years ago. Newer train designs have come online over the decades, especially since the 1990s as new service and lines have been launched. The new design is sleek and aero-dynamic. As with all shinkansen that have come before, this design seems like a bit of futurism that has finally arrived. The Kamome train will run along Japan’s southernmost island of Kyushu, a region that had long been underserved by high-speed rail.
