This South Korean vocal group’s a cappella versions of Windows and iPhone sound effects and audio logos are absolutely brilliant, funny and beautiful. The group is called Maytree. Their repertoire includes performances of the start-up and shutdown sounds used on a Windows computer, as well as the audio effects for when USBs are plugged in and out or the trash icon is emptied. Their rendition of the Super Mario Bros. OST is so good that it sent chills up our spines, as we recalled playing the video game on the original Nintendo console in our formative youth. The performance speaks for itself. Awesome!
