YACHT ROCK: U.K. STREET ARTIST BANKSY FINANCES AND DECORATES REFUGEE RESCUE BOAT IN THE MED!

Mysterious and infamous U.K. artist Banksy has bankrolled a small refugee rescue ship sailing the Mediterranean Sea. The boat is named the M.V. Louise Michel. It’s run by a non-profit organization whose mission is to “uphold maritime law and rescue anyone in peril without prejudice.” The vessel is decorated with Banksy’s artwork. Fuschia-color spray-paint covers parts of the ship in a style like his graffiti art. A stencil image of a little girl clad in a life-jacket holding the rope of a heart-shaped life-preserver is painted on the side. The stencil is variation on a famous Banksy artwork depicting a girl and a red balloon painted many years ago on the side of a security-barrier wall along the Israel-Palestine border.
