You did many things. Your creative achievements were many and influential.
You created an enduring, brilliant, and beloved logo for New York that is a graphic design classic and timeless. “I Love NY.”
You co-founded the great New York Magazine.
You created that iconic poster of Bob Dylan with his colorful hair. Another design classic.
You updated your famous “I Love NY” logo after 9/11 to “I Love NY More Than Ever.” Brilliant. An emphatic, much-appreciated restatement in the face of a great tragedy that reassured and inspired us who called the city home during those dark days.
You loved NY. We did, too.
And we continue to love New York and your amazing creativity and body of design work.
