We recently released a new video we produced on the Australian artist Lincoln Mayne. It’s the first in a series titled “Artist in Residence,” which explores contemporary art with visits to artists’ studios in various cities around the world. The short documentary-style video amounts to a visit to the artist’s beautiful, light-filled workspace in the Downtown Los Angeles garment district as he prepares for a major exhibition. Mayne shows us around his studio and his recent artwork, and talks about art, his creative process, sculpture, ceramics and more. Mayne’s work is currently on view at a month-long solo exhibition called “RaRa DaDa” at Sculpture Space New York.
