Andy Warhol Statue in New York

The recently installed Andy Monument, a gold statue of the late artist Andy Warhol,  sits  across from the northwest corner of Union Square in New York City. Warhol was one of the most influential and ground-breaking artists to emerge in the post-modern art era and was at the forefront of the pop-art movement. The Factory, his  legendary studio and events space, was for many important years located nearby.
