On the Scene … Girl with Beautiful Tattoo in NYC

We’ve personally never been into tattoos. We don’t have any of our own. But we appreciate seeing a beautiful tattoo. And combined with a certain style, as in the case with the women pictured here snapping cellphone photos at a recent protest in New York City’s Washington Square Park, we find a tattoo very alluring.

In Tokyo … “Re Your Food” Anti-Nukes Street Art

Since the the 2011 reactor-meltdown disaster at the nuclear power plant in Fukushima, Japan, we’ve seen a lot of anti-nuke street art pop up in Tokyo, especially around Shibuya and Naka-Meguro. Often the artwork is in the form of a large sticker that features the line-drawing image of a little girl and the international nuclear symbol.

American Apparel Ad x Lady Millard

The artist and “Lady” tagger who goes by the name Lady Millard put her signature cursive and umlauted spray tag on this large black-and-white American Apparel ad on the side of a cast-iron building on Mulberry Street in Nolita, in New York City. “Lady” has been popping up everywhere downtown in recent weeks.
